NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals for the following improvements described below, will be received at the office of the County Engineer, 2732 Batestown Road, Oakwood, Il. until 10:00 am., May 22, 2014. Proposals will be opened and read publicly at that time. No proposals will be issued after 4:00 pm. on May 21, 2014.
Proposed Improvement:
Section 13-03141-00-BR , remove the existing single span steel stringer bridge with a timber deck on steel H pile with timber backwalls and the construction of a single span PPC deck beam bridge on concrete spill thru abutments along with related road work to complete the section.
Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of the County Engineer. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee as provided in Article 102.09 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction” prepared by the Department of Transportation. The County reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Article 102.08 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction”. Prequalification of bidders is required.
The County, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contracts entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of Race, Color or National Origin.
