NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED ANNEXATION AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHAMPAIGN AND LARRY ZAHND, DOROTHY ZAHND, KARLENE ORNELUS, RHONDA SHOUDEL, AND SAMUEL ZAHND FOR A 77.08 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF OLD CHURCH ROAD, A QUARTER MILE TO THE EAST OF RISING ROAD. PLAN CASE NO. PL13-0026.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that a public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Building, 102 North Neil Street, Champaign, Illinois, on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 4:00 PM before the Plan Commission and on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 7:00 PM before the City Council on an Annexation Agreement for the following described property:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE REAL ESTATE AFFECTED BY THIS AGREEMENT:

A PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF FRACTIONAL SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 19 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, CHAMPAIGN TOWNSHIP, CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, ILLINOIS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS SET FORTH IN WARRANTY DEED, DOCUMENT NUMBER 88R4421, DATED OCTOBER 29, 1987, AS FOLLOWS:

This property contains approximately 77.08 acres, more or less. The proposed Annexation Agreement allows for the development of a single family home on a 4 acre parcel. The agreement will also defer construction of public infrastructure improvements on the site until a future development project.

This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 37-758 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended.

In said public hearing; all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present their arguments for or against passage of an Ordinance enacting the aforesaid Annexation Agreement.
