VILLAGE OF SAVOY ILLINOIS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Village of Savoy Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday October 27, 2014, at 7:00 P.M., and the Village of Savoy Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday November 5, 2014, at 7:00 P.M., at the Savoy Municipal Center, 611 N. Dunlap Avenue, Savoy, Illinois, for the following purposes.
1. Dorothy L. Little, Trustee, is the owner of the following described real estate, which is the subject of these public hearings, consisting of 80 acres located at the northwest corner of the intersection of County Road 1200 East and County Road 1000 North extended, which is within 1½ miles of the Village of Savoy:
The South ½ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 12, Township 18 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Champaign County, Illinois.
2. Said Owner is proposing an Annexation Agreement between the Owner and the Village of Savoy, pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-15.1-1, et seq.
3. Said proposed Annexation Agreement includes a waiver by the Village of Savoy of its Subdivision Ordinance requirements to a conveyance by said Owner of a 5 acre portion of said 80 acre tract, described as:
The Northeast ¼ of the Northeast ¼ of the South ½ of the Southeast ¼ of Section 12, Township 18 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Champaign County, Illinois.
4. Said proposed Annexation Agreement includes a provision that the zoning classification of said 80 acres shall be R-2 Single Family Residential under the Village of Savoy Zoning Ordinance.
5. Under the proposed Annexation Agreement and Illinois law, upon approval of said Annexation Agreement, the zoning, development, subdivision, drainage and building ordinances of the Village of Savoy shall apply to said property.
